9:00 am - Noon in Faith Center

We are so excited for Serve Day and truly believe that we can spread the love of Jesus to our neighbors, community & world through the projects listed below. Together we can make a huge impact in our community and around the world. Our projects are open to every one of all ages, definitely family friendly. Decide which project you want to be a part of, and make sure to sign up for one of the many outreach opportunities. If you have any questions, please contact Kim.

Christmas Cards for the Troops

Lead by Ruth Harrower

Are you interested in making cards for our service persons? Experience is not required but an artistic eye and talent is a plus. Join us as we creatively make cards with words of encouragement for our troops around the world. We are partnering with Operation Military Matters to provide them Christmas cards for their November & December packages. Our goal is to create over 3000 cards this year. All ages are welcome!

Operation Christmas Child

Lead by Alice Kleiner

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, has delivered 157 million gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world. For many of the children who are blessed with these boxes, it may be the only gift they've ever received! Along with these gift-filled shoeboxes, they receive a Gospel booklet called The Greatest Gift that shares about God’s Son, Jesus Christ. Many shoebox recipients also participate in The Greatest Journey, a 12-lesson discipleship course, where they learn to follow Christ and share Him with others—who, in turn, tell and disciple still others. Families are reached, churches grow, new churches are started, and communities are transformed.

Join Alice as she teaches you how and what to pack in your boxes; go on a field trip to purchase your items and return to Faith Center to complete your boxes. Let’s beat our all time goal of 221!

Lead by Dora Starling

The mission of the Pinellas County Foster and Adoptive Parents Association (PCFAPA) is to provide quality training, support and activities for our member foster and adoptive families. We strive to provide our parents with the necessary resources to deal with the many challenges they face in raising our communities’ children.

Join Dora and her team as they sort, label and prepare the items stored in our Faith garages to create a “storefront” so foster families can come and “shop” easily. Contact Dora Starling if you have any questions.

Saturate USA-Christ for All Peoples

Lead by Brian and Chrissy Wyant

The Lord Jesus Christ commands all believers to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and to make disciples of all nations. Saturate USA-Christ for All Peoples has provided us with resources to share the gospel message with our neighbors. It’s now up to us to distribute them! The Outreach Pack includes a DVD of three movies about Jesus, a guide to knowing God personally and an invitation to join us at Faith. All you have to do is put this little bag on the door! No talking needed! No experience required! All ages welcomed and encouraged!

Sewing Circle

Lead by Sheri Merrifield & Julie Zajdel

The main focus of the sewing circle is to create baby hats, blankets, aprons and sewing kits for Honduras. On Serve Day the group will be tracing, cutting and sewing baby hats from used t-shirts. We will also be stuffing pillows for Fran’s Pillow Ministry for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

Seminole Parks and Trail Clean-Up
