Refuge at the Rock Weekly Events
Sunday morning Bible Study begins at 11:10am in the Rock. This is a time where we examine the scripture of the day and consider how it applies to us today. There will also be snacks from donuts to cereal and milk.
Wednesday night youth group is called “Refuge at the Rock.” Refuge begins at 6:00pm and ends at 7:30pm. Refuge consists of biblically-based lessons, discussion of the lesson, and a time of praise and worship. Dinner will also be available to our students at the cost of $3. Youth Fundraiser Dinner
Saturday February 10th will be our youth fundraiser for summer camp. Students that are signed up for summer camp are being asked to help serve, cook, and plate a three-course dinner. If you need help with raising funds for summer camp, you must attend. We will begin work on Friday the 9th, but the majority of the work will be done on the 10th. Students are required to be at Faith Center by noon on the10th.
Student Life Camp at Daytona Beach: Summer camp for our Senior High students will take place at Daytona Beach on July 9th-13th. In addition to four days of worship, teaching and Bible study, Student Life Beach Camp will move you in the sand and surf, where you will experience a combination of God’s beautiful creation and unforgettable time in Christian community. This year’s theme for camp is “I AM.” Students will explore the characteristics of Yahweh, the one and only living God. The keynote speaker for this year’s camp is Craig Groeschel. He is the founding pastor of Life.Church, and he is known for using technology to spread the Gospel in multiple location around the U.S. and globally. The worship leader is Elevation Worship. Elevation Worship’s “Here As in Heaven” was named one of the top Christian music albums of 2017 by iTunes and others. The cost of camp is $420, but there will be many opportunities for scholarships and fundraisers.Visit Student Life for more information.
The Great Escape: Summer camp for Junior High students will be The Great Escape at Southwind once again. Camp will take place on July 24th-28th. This camp is set next to a lake where students will spend the majority of their time outside in God’s creation. Activities include scavenger hunts, mountain biking, waterslides, and more. Each week of camp has dynamic activities as well as time with youth leaders. The goal of this camp is for students to hear the message of Jesus Christ and the Good News of the Gospel. The cost of camp is $400, but there will be many opportunities for scholarships and fundraisers.
